Jesus made it clear that we would not know the day or the hour of His return, but He left us with a very clear instruction: Be ready, because I will come when you least expect it.
Can you see the kestrel in the picture?
You’re right. there isn’t one.
I’m interested in wild birds and I like taking pictures of them. Usually I take my camera when I go for a walk. On one occasion I was walking up the A34 to the farm shop about a mile away from where we live. I thought “I’m only walking along the pavement. I won’t bother with my camera.”
Halfway up the road a kestrel flew out of a tree close to where I was walking and started hovering just on the other side of the hedge. It would have been a lovely picture, but I wasn’t prepared. Are you prepared for Jesus to return? He will come when we least expect it.
I hope the material in this section will encourage us to keep the wicks of our lives trimmed of rubbish, and our lamps full of the oil of the Holy Spirit. We don’t know the day or the hour, but as the prophetic experience described in “Three Seconds to Midnight” so vividly portrays, it probably won’t be very long…
